The President of Karbala University, Professor Sabah Wajid Ali, honored Dr. Mohammed Hussein Zain, a faculty member in the College of Education for Humanities and a member of the Staff Language Integrity Team at the Iraqi Academy of Sciences, in recognition of his distinguished scientific and linguistic efforts in serving the Arabic language within state institutions.
This honor came after Dr. Hussein received a letter of thanks and appreciation from the Prime Minister, acknowledging his prominent role in overseeing the Iraqi Academy of Sciences’ competition for linguistic excellence. This competition aims to promote the integrity of the Arabic language in official correspondence and administrative documents within state institutions.
The University President stated that the excellence of Karbala University’s faculty in scientific and cultural forums is a source of pride for the academic institution and reflects the high quality of the scientific environment it fosters.
He added that the university gives special attention to initiatives that promote the integrity of the Arabic language, as it represents a fundamental pillar of national and cultural identity. He noted that supporting scientific expertise contributes to solidifying the university’s role as a center of scientific and cultural influence.
For his part, Dr. Mohammed Hussein expressed his gratitude to the university administration for this honor, emphasizing that preserving the integrity of the Arabic language in official institutions is a shared responsibility requiring concerted academic and institutional efforts.
