The local government in Karbala Al-Muqaddasah conducted a lottery to distribute more than 600 residential land plots to university professors and employees

The event was attended by the University President, Professor Dr. Basim Khalil Nael Al-Saedi, and his assistant for administrative affairs, Professor Dr. Akram Mohsen Al-Yasiri, along with a large number of faculty members and staff.

In his speech, Dr. Al-Saedi expressed gratitude to the local government of Karbala for its continuous support to the academic staff and for providing residential plots as part of its program aimed at serving citizens.

He emphasized that the university will continue to support all efforts aimed at improving the city’s infrastructure and urban projects.

Dr. Akram Al-Yasiri, the university’s assistant president for administrative affairs, stated that the university will persist in advocating for the inclusion of a larger number of faculty members and employees in future allocations.

Engineer Nasif Jasim Al-Khatib, the Governor of Karbala, expressed his readiness to stand with the academic community by providing care and attention. He described the university professors as messengers of knowledge and advocates of learning.

Al-Khatib added that the local government in Karbala is committed to distributing residential lands to all segments of society, aiming to provide a dignified life for the people of Karbala. He also highlighted the inclusion of the remaining university professors and staff in the upcoming allocations1.
