A letter from Karbala medicine looking at the insulin resistance of polycystic ovary syndrome

A thesis at the Faculty of Medicine, Karbala University examined the biomechanism of insulin resistance as a pattern of polycystic ovary syndrome in a large number of women in Karbala .

It included the thesis presented by the researcher ( Afnan Haidar Abboud), which was entitled “The role of Neudesin and Neureguin-4 in the biomechanism of insulin resistance among the phenotypes of polycystic ovary syndrome “

The purpose of the study

However, metabolic and cardiovascular disorders , and evaluation of abdominal obesity in PCOS patients may be critical. Research on NENF and NRG4 plays a role in the regulation of metabolism, which can be considered as possible markers of insulin resistance in some medical conditions, such as diabetes mellitus, obesity and PCOS, which has recently gained attention although the relationship between the phenotype of NENF and NRG4 – PCOS is poorly represented in the literature. Therefore, the aim of this study would highlight the role of Neudesin and 4_neuregulin as a biomarker of insulin resistance in females with different phenotypes of PCOS.

The letter also concluded that the phenotypes of polycystic syndrome conclusion, the levels of NRG4 and NENF increased significantly in all ovaries, and metabolic indicators have a significant correlation with all phenotypes. Visceral obesity of the abdominal region has played an important role in the development of metabolic changes, regardless of the phenotypes of PCOS.
