Within the student activities of the Surgery Branch at the College of Medicine, University of Karbala, and with a voluntary initiative, to visit the nursing home in Karbala.
Dr. Abbas Ali Kazem Al-Kalabi, ear, nose and throat specialist, and a group of fifth-stage students in our college visited this segment. The aim of this visit was to provide community service and learn about their health and psychological conditions as part of the process of interaction and fusion between these medical groups and individuals with care and special needs.
During this visit, the center was viewed, roamed within its corridors, and met with the department’s administrative body. The doctor also examined the patients, introduced the students to some health and educational vocabulary, and showed a spirit of cooperation and assistance to them as a guide to the medical community services for them. The attendees listened to the explanation provided by the director of the home about the services provided by the home. for the elderly.
The attendees expressed their thanks to those in charge of the house and for their kind reception and care.
