A teacher from the College of Medicine – University of Karbala chairs the biochemistry research session at the International Chemistry Conference held at the University of Mosul.

Prof. Dr. Fadel Jawad Al Tohme chaired the biochemistry research session, which is one of the sessions of the Second International Conference on Chemistry, which was held at the Department of Chemistry at the College of Science – University of Mosul for the period from 23-24 June 2021 under the slogan (The Role of Chemistry in Development and Progress), in addition to participating in two scientific researches for my students Postgraduate studies in the branch of chemistry and biochemistry (Zahra Abdel-Azim Al-Mayali) and her research tagged (Association between Protein Kinase C Beta Genotype and Pathogenesis of Type 2 Diabetic Nephropathy Complications) under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Fadel Jawad Al Tohme
and Suzanne Halim Kamel and her research tagged (Angiotensin Converting Enzyme – 2 Receptor Gene Polymorphism and its Relationships with Severity of Iraqi COVID-19 Pandemic).

Under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Fadel Jawad Al Tohme and Prof. Dr. Riad Mohi Al-Sayegh, among more than 130 research participants in the conference.
The participation of Karbala University in this great scientific forum was honored, as nine Arab and foreign countries participated in it, in addition to a number of Iraqi universities.
