This edition of the rankings showed a remarkable progress in the competitive ranks of Baghdad University’s specialized faculties, especially engineering and medicine, which have competed in the environment of specializations around the world.
It is worth noting that Iraq came 37th in the world after 13 universities achieved competitive positions in The Times ranking, while Iraqi universities and colleges recorded their increasing competition in other international rankings, including the Shanghai Global Ranking of Academic Subjects for the year 2023, in which Baghdad University appeared in the specialty (Dentistry & Oral Sciences) The (QS) classification in which five universities are present, the (Scimago) classification in which forty-seven institutions are present, the (Greenmetric) classification in which the number of Iraqi educational institutions increased to seventy-four universities and colleges, the RUR classification in which forty-five Iraqi universities are present, and the (Webometrics) classification, which recorded the presence and competition of more than one hundred Iraqi universities and colleges.
