The Women Empowerment unit at the Faculty of Medicine, Karbala university organized a scientific dialogue seminar entitled “Plastic Pollution and its impact on community health”
The seminar aimed to introduce the participants to the use of alternatives to plastic products and dependence on them.
The seminar included a statement of the types of plastic used to preserve foods, awareness of how to use it and protection from the harm to consumer health, in addition to explaining the risks of using plastic products, including the release of antimony trioxide compound, which is considered a carcinogen, and its impact on human health and environmental pollution.
