The College of Medicine at the University of Karbala organized an educational and awareness seminar titled “The Role of Women in Decision-Making” in celebration of International Women’s Day and in collaboration with the college’s Women Empowerment Unit.
The seminar, featuring Assistant Professor Dr. Mai Mohammed Ali and Assistant Lecturer Afrah Salal, aimed to highlight the role of women in achieving sustainable development through their active participation in decision-making processes, contributing to building a more advanced future.
The seminar discussed the importance of women’s roles and their inclusion in decision-making centers, supporting their efforts, creativity, and providing support in all leadership, administrative, social, economic, and cultural fields. It also addressed the challenges and obstacles that hinder their access and participation in decision-making.
