The minister of higher education and scientific research, Dr. Naim al-Aboudi, chaired the meeting of the higher ministerial committee to host the work of the Fifty-sixth session of the Union of Arab universities, which will be hosted by the capital Baghdad in March 2024.
The minister of Education directed the formation of scientific, technical and logistical committees, the organization and completion of the map of procedures responsible for hosting this important event, which will be attended by universities and scientific institutions affiliated to the Union of Arab Universities (Association of Arab Universities).
During the meeting, which included a number of undersecretaries, university presidents and general managers, he explained that the work of this edition coincides with the anniversary of the establishment of the Union, stressing at the same time the importance of establishing appropriate climates for cooperation between universities in the fields of scientific knowledge as an effective tool in development and development, pointing out that Iraq and its institutions has an ancient history and scientific indicator worthy of hosting and incubating the work of the Union of Arab universities.
