The minister of higher education and scientific research, Dr. Naim al-Aboudi, honored the first students at Al-Nahrain University on the occasion of the graduation of the thirtieth session at Al-Nahrain University for the academic year 2023/2022.
In his speech during the ceremony, he stressed that the Ministry of higher education and scientific research receives new cohorts of students every year and celebrates the graduation of its children who are qualified to work and serve the community and that we have spared no effort in developing the area of interest in the graduates segment, enhancing the areas of necessary support for them and intensifying follow-up to ensure that they reach where ambition and in the fields of university education.
He added that the positive results of Iraqi universities in the world rankings, which made Iraq ranked thirty-seventh globally, impose on everyone an honorable national commitment to continue developing academic programs with a responsible and direct impact on providing a distinguished educational environment.
The minister of Education called on Iraqi universities, colleges, departments and staff to consolidate more spaces for community service and achieve the Sustainable Development Goals, which are based on the pillar of quality education that makes educational institutions on the right path towards international accreditation.
The graduation ceremony included a speech by the president of the University, Dr. Ali al-Shawy, a speech by the representative of the graduate students, the repetition of the University oath and the decrees granting diplomas to graduates of the faculties of Law, Medicine, Engineering, Science, Political Science, Information Engineering, Business Economics, biotechnology and pharmacy.
The minister of higher education and scientific research, Dr. Naim al-Aboudi, concluded the graduation events by honoring the first students at Al-Nahrain University, praising the efforts of scientific, academic and career staff, stressing the commitment of the ministry and its universities to excellence and continuous development.
