Under the patronage of the president of Karbala University, professor Dr. Bassem Khalil Nayel, and the dean of the Faculty of Medicine, professor Dr. Riad dhihoud al-Zubaidi, the obstetrics and gynecology branch held a training workshop on early detection of cervical cancer and methods of its prevention and on the halls of the obstetrics and gynecology Teaching Hospital
The workshop aimed to reduce the spread of cervical cancer in women, especially after the alarming rise in global indicators of women’s infections
For his part, assistant professor Dr. Manal Naseh added that the workshop recommended visiting specialized centers for women according to periodic timings for early screening to reduce the high incidence of injuries in women .

The lectures were also presented, which allowed for extensive scientific discussions of the latest studies on effective methods for early detection of cervical cancer and how to prevent the occurrence of precancerous changes in the cervix and methods of their treatment .
