
The Deputy Governor of Karbala, Mr. Ali Al-Miyali, visited the Dean of the College of Medicine at the University of Karbala, Dr. Khaled Khalil Al-Araji, to discuss ways to enhance cooperation between local administration and academic institutions in the province.
During the meeting, the two sides discussed prospects for developing the health sector in Karbala through supporting the College of Medicine and expanding its educational and training programs, positively impacting the quality of medical services provided to citizens.
Mr. Al-Miyali emphasized the governorate’s keenness to support the college and its scientific staff, praising its role in graduating qualified doctors who contribute to improving the level of healthcare. He also congratulated Dr. Al-Araji on his appointment as dean, commending his significant efforts in the health sector and the children’s hospital in the province.
For his part, Dr. Al-Araji welcomed the visit, stressing the importance of continuous communication between governmental institutions and universities to promote sustainable development in the health sector. He highlighted the local administration’s role in enhancing technical and moral support for the university and the college, especially in service of the public good and the holy city of Karbala.
At the end of the meeting, the two parties agreed to continue coordination and joint cooperation to serve the community and enhance the quality of medical education in the province.
