The Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Naeim al-Abboudi, announced the opening of the Graduate Institute for Forensic Sciences at the University of Al-Nahrain.
In his speech during the opening ceremony, the Minister of Education explained that the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research is working in a systematic manner and in coordination with sectoral institutions to achieve its goals, meet its requirements, and take into account variables, adapt to circumstances, and overcome challenges in order to ensure sustainable education and fulfill responsibilities. He noted that the establishment of this type of specialized institute, which focuses on master’s programs in forensic chemistry, forensic engineering, and forensic sciences, will provide students with the opportunity to specialize in vital sectors and fields that intersect with forensic sciences and play an important role in law enforcement and protecting the rights of individuals and society.
He continued by saying that the indicator of the achievements accomplished in the educational institution during the lifetime of the esteemed Iraqi government was based on the quality of specialized programs, the positive work provided by faculty members, and the link between outputs and developmental needs.
The Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Naeim al-Abboudi, inaugurated the building of the scientific departments of the Graduate Institute for Forensic Sciences, the lecture halls, and the dean’s building. He also honored a number of specialized academic figures and representatives of security and judicial institutions.
