The College of Medicine at the University of Karbala participated in the scientific conference of the Iraqi-Iranian Science Day by showcasing its scientific outputs at the annual scientific innovation exhibition held at the halls of the College of Pure Sciences, University of Karbala, in 2025, coinciding with the Iraqi-Iranian Science Day. The exhibition featured a collection of posters for research published in Q1 journals, numbering 11, as well as Iraqi and international patents, totaling 6, in addition to textbooks authored by faculty members and several models of the human body. The esteemed university president, Professor Dr. Sabah Wajid, and the accompanying Iranian delegation praised the exhibits, especially the authored books, to the extent that they requested a copy of one of the English-language books authored by Professor Dr. Ali Abdul Hussein Sadeq al-Janabi as a gift. During a brief meeting with some members of the Iranian delegation, the topic of cultural exchange between our college and Iranian universities was discussed, and they expressed their desire to send Iraqi students to their universities and vice versa, especially graduate students.
Dr. Ali Sadeq al-Janabi stated, “Every country in the world relies on scientific research, in addition to the practical application of research, in building its scientific, health, and economic infrastructure. Therefore, the relevant authorities must take into account the importance of developing all sectors of society, whether governmental, joint, or private.”
