During the meeting, the Minister of Education explained the policy of the Iraqi Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research in adopting the internationalization of academic contexts, interacting with influential global institutions, and formulating opportunities for twinning scientific projects. He pointed out that the ministry and its institutions have successfully launched the “Study in Iraq” program and managed to attract more than three thousand international students in various academic specialties.
For her part, the Ambassador of the Kingdom of the Netherlands, Ms. Janet Bierda, expressed her institutions’ interest in coordinating with Iraqi universities and strengthening cooperation channels, memorandums of understanding, and providing a suitable environment for joint scientific research. She extended an official invitation to the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Naeem Al-Abboud, to visit the Kingdom and its academic institutions to frame the academic relations between the two countries.”
