Karbala University Secures a Prominent Position in the Iraqi University Ranking Karbala University has made significant strides in academic excellence by securing the sixth position among Iraqi public universities in the 2024 Iraqi University Ranking, as announced by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research University President, Professor Dr. Sabah Wajed Ali, commended the exceptional efforts of the university’s faculty and staff, emphasizing the importance of building upon this success to ascend further in both domestic and international rankings. A comprehensive evaluation process was conducted, encompassing 10 key performance indicators, including institutional accreditation (20%), global rankings (10%), research productivity (35%), educational laboratories (5%), assessment of the academic environment and compliance (5%), faculty members (4%), awards (5%), diversity and international collaboration (10%), student athletics (3%), and occupational health and safety (3%), to assess the performance of 100 government and private institutions.
