Karbala University Achieves Sixth Place in the Iraqi University Ranking
Karbala University has secured the sixth position among Iraqi public universities in the 2024 Iraqi University Ranking, as announced by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research.
In recognition of this significant achievement, the University President, Professor Dr. Sabah Wajed Ali, commended the exceptional efforts of the university’s faculty and staff. He emphasized the importance of building upon this success to achieve even greater heights in both national and international rankings.
A rigorous evaluation process was conducted, encompassing 10 key performance indicators to assess the quality of 100 government and private institutions. These indicators included: institutional accreditation (20%), global rankings (10%), research productivity (35%), educational laboratories (5%), assessment of the academic environment and compliance (5%), faculty members (4%), awards (5%), diversity and international collaboration (10%), student athletics (3%), and occupational health and safety (3%).
