In an effort to develop the educational environment and measure institutional and program performance indicators and the path of scientific research, the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research announces the results of the Iraqi University Ranking 2024.
This version, completed by the Supervision and Scientific Evaluation Authority, includes the evaluation of 100 governmental and private institutions compared to 95 institutions last year, based on 10 specific axes to measure institutional performance, which include:
- Institutional Accreditation Standards 20%
- Global Rankings 10%
- Scientific Research Effectiveness 35%
- Educational Laboratories 5%
- Evaluation of Scientific and Academic Reality and Compliance Rules 5%
- Faculty Members 4%
- Awards 5%
- Diversity and International Cooperation 10%
- Student Sports Club 3%
- Occupational Health and Safety 3%
Additionally, 2072 scientific departments in 100 governmental and private universities and colleges were evaluated compared to 1875 departments in 95 universities last year, based on specific criteria to measure the performance of scientific departments, which include:
- Program Quality and Accreditation 50%
- Faculty Members 25%
- Global Rankings of Academic Specializations 25%
The ranking results (https://iru.asse-gate.gov.iq) showed that the University of Technology ranked first, followed by the University of Anbar, and then Al-Mustansiriya University among governmental universities. Meanwhile, Al-Mustaqbal University ranked first among private universities and colleges, followed by Warith Al-Anbiya University in second place, and the Islamic University in third place.
