On the Eve of Victory Day, the Minister of Education Affirms that the Occasion Represents a Pillar and a Constant for Iraqis in Preserving Their Rights and National Achievements

The Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Naim Al-Aboudi, affirmed that the occasion and memory of Victory Day represent a pillar and a constant for Iraqis in preserving their rights and national achievements.

This came in his speech during the conference held by Uruk University on the occasion of the International Human Rights Day, where he explained that this day and this memory represent one of the most important pillars shaped by Iraqis with the blood of their martyrs and the vigor of their sons who made sacrifices and heroics, fought battles of victory and liberation, cleansed the land from the claws of evil and darkness, and defeated the outlaws never to return, so that the flag of Iraq remains high and victorious over its entire sacred land.

He added that the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research and its universities are working to establish the necessary barriers that protect society by enhancing scientific presence, maintaining academic openness in the field of services and consultations, and providing inspiring climates for creating generations with a solid identity and high principles that make them fully responsible for protecting the country, its history, present, and future.

The conference’s opening ceremony included official speeches by the Ambassador of the State of Palestine in Iraq, the President of Uruk University, and a representative of the College of Law, in the presence of several deputies, ambassadors, university presidents, deans, representatives of unions, teaching staff, and a select group of students.
