The Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research organized a workshop on the general population census and its impact on development in Iraq.
The workshop, which featured presentations by representatives from the Higher Commission for the General Population and Housing Census, highlighted the importance of the Ministry of Higher Education’s role in the success of the census process. This includes mobilizing its scientific staff, providing expertise, conducting community awareness, and providing the necessary technical capabilities for data analysis. The aim is to utilize the census results to improve educational and research plans, thereby achieving the goals of comprehensive development.
The workshop, attended by a group of ministry employees, addressed the significance of the general census as a comprehensive source of information on the economic, social, health, educational, and living conditions of the population, as well as their surrounding environment.
