The Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Naim Al-Aboudi, received Mr. Viktor Rybak, the Ambassador of the Republic of Belarus to Iraq, and they discussed the path of scientific and academic cooperation between the two countries.
During the meeting, the Minister of Education emphasized that the ministry and its universities are looking forward to developing scientific, research, and academic cooperation with the Belarusian side and establishing positive climates for the exchange of expertise, scholarships, and twinning programs between universities. He pointed to the success achieved in the “Study in Iraq” program, sponsored by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, to attract international students to Iraqi universities.
For his part, the Ambassador of the Republic of Belarus appreciated the level of commitment shown by the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Naim Al-Aboudi, to frame global scientific and academic partnerships through memorandums of understanding, exchange of scholarships, and enhancing mutual cooperation.
