The Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Naim Al-Aboudi, honored the winners of the Higher Education Reading Award in its second edition for the year 2024.
In his speech during the award ceremony, he emphasized that the award project, adopted by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research for the second consecutive year, has opened a wide field for review and strengthening the contexts of general culture. He pointed out that university students participated and contributed to understanding its scientific and cultural implications, and they have integrated the requirements of cultural responsibility that embody the identity of society and its extensions in the past, present, and future.
The Minister reiterated the importance of these programs and activities in undergraduate studies and the transition from competitions to a scientific research environment that achieves the value of the university degree, which should address the challenges and dangers faced by societies and leave a clear impact that saves effort and time in producing solutions and solving problems.
The ceremony included a speech by the organizing committee delivered by Dr. Lubna Khamis Mahdi, Director General of the Research and Development Department. The Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Naim Al-Aboudi, awarded the winning students with one hundred million dinars and expressed gratitude and appreciation to the organizing committee for their efforts in organizing the competition procedures.
