The College of Engineering at Karbala University held the Eighth International Conference on Engineering Sciences in collaboration with Swinburne University of Technology, Warith Al-Anbiya University, and Al-Hussein University College.
The conference was attended by the university president, Professor Dr. Sabah Wajid Ali, the Vice President for Scientific Affairs, Dr. Haider Mohammad Imran, the Secretary-General of the Holy Shrine of Imam Hussein, Hassan Rashid Al-Abayji, the Vice President for Scientific Affairs at Warith Al-Anbiya University, Dr. Waqid Al-Mousawi, and the representative of Al-Hussein University College, Dr. Mohammad Reza Al-Hindawi.
Dr. Sabah Wajid stated that those working in the engineering field have greatly contributed to humanity through their intensive efforts and changes in the urban field.
Wajid pointed out that “today, we are in dire need of engineering efforts to shape the future by contributing to research and applying it on the ground.”
In the same context, the Dean of the College of Engineering, Dr. Haider Nadhim Al-Muhanna, mentioned that “this conference represents a valuable opportunity to share ideas and discuss challenges, as well as to look forward to new horizons in the fields of engineering sciences, which are the cornerstone for achieving sustainable development in a changing world.”
It is worth noting that the conference showcases the latest research and scientific studies in engineering sciences, as well as the exchange of ideas among researchers from various specialties to achieve fruitful cooperation in addressing the obstacles accompanying engineering work.
