Iraq Tops the List of Countries with the Most Universities Ranked in the Times Higher Education Arab University Rankings

Forty-five Iraqi universities achieved positive results in the Times Higher Education Arab University Rankings 2024 for the best-ranked universities in the Arab region.

The results showed that 238 institutions from 16 countries competed according to indicators distributed in the fields of Teaching (31%), Research Environment (31%), Research Quality Outputs (24%), International Outlook (8%), and Society (6%).

The University of Baghdad advanced twenty places compared to last year’s edition to rank 20th, followed by the universities of Technology, Al-Mustansiriya, Mosul, Al-Nahrain, Anbar, Babylon, Basra, Al-Maaref, Tikrit, Al-Iraqia, Al-Mustaqbal, Al-Qadisiyah, Diyala, Karbala, the Islamic University, Al-Ain, Al-Qasim Green, Dhi Qar, Warith Al-Anbiyaa, Wasit, Al-Israa, Al-Farahidi, Al-Furat Al-Awsat Technical, Al-Muthanna, Imam Jaafar Al-Sadiq University, Middle Technical, Northern Technical, Southern Technical, Kirkuk, Maysan, and universities in the Kurdistan region.
