The QS World University Rankings: Sustainability 2025 has announced its results for the sustainability edition.
Approximately 1800 universities worldwide competed in the ranking according to a methodology consisting of indicators designed to measure the institution’s ability to impact the environment (45%), social impact (44%), and governance (10%).
Eight Iraqi universities achieved competitive results in this ranking, led by the University of Baghdad, followed by the universities of Anbar, Al-Nahrain, Babylon, Al-Mustansiriya, Northern Technical, Tikrit, and Mosul.
It is worth noting that more than one hundred Iraqi universities and colleges compete with their counterparts in eight global rankings, making Iraq rank 29th globally in terms of the number of universities ranked in the Times Higher Education World University Rankings and 7th globally in the Times Higher Education Impact Rankings.
