In his speech during the central graduation ceremony of the 67th batch at the University of Baghdad, he explained that he had directed the relevant departments and formations in the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research to study and provide the necessary requirements for the establishment of a new college project at the University of Baghdad that specializes in cutting-edge sciences. This college will be based on a foundation of innovative ideas, entrepreneurial projects, and high-quality, dynamic academic programs with global reach.
He added that the project stems from the ministry’s strategic policy of prioritizing, developing university services, supporting professional leadership, enhancing outputs, and committing to qualifying students in accordance with the requirements of the labor market in an effective and impactful manner. The aim is to attract high-achieving students and qualify them through knowledge acquired from experts among Iraqi and foreign university professors, relying primarily on advanced and unconventional educational systems. This is aimed at establishing pioneering visions in scientific specializations and their fertile applications, including data analysis, artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, environmental sciences, climate change, renewable energy, social sciences, and other areas of knowledge.
The central ceremony witnessed a speech by the President of the University of Baghdad, Dr. Baha Ibrahim Insaf, and the recitation of the graduation oath. The Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Naeem Al-Aboudi, honored the top students and affirmed that the graduation of the 67th batch at the University of Baghdad at this time clearly indicates the level of presence of the nation’s higher values and constants in the conscience and heart of the Iraqi society and its loyal sons, who raised the banner of the true stance to support and stand by the victories and sacrifices made by the heroes of Lebanon and Palestine and their people in the face of the Zionist savagery in the region.
