The Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Naim Al-Aboudi, confirmed that the ministry and Iraqi universities have successfully attracted and accepted more than three thousand international students in Iraqi universities within two years as part of the Study in Iraq program.
This statement was made during his speech at the graduation ceremony of the University of Anbar students, attended by the Minister of Industry, the Governor of Anbar, the Chief of Police, the President of the Academics Syndicate, several deputies, and university presidents. The Minister explained that the graduation of the 34th batch at the University of Anbar, coinciding with the 37th anniversary of its founding, provides a suitable climate for maintaining the success achieved by the university administration, which has charted its path towards excellence and represented its mission, goals, and vision in building generations, keeping pace with development contexts, and adhering to institutional performance methodology and programmatic accreditation.
He added that the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research has managed to improve the performance level of its institutions over two years of tangible contributions, which have elevated the outputs and established a positive presence for these institutions in competitive fields with their global counterparts.
The Minister reiterated the ministry’s commitment to developing the educational environment in all its fields, updating testing frameworks, automating procedures, strengthening documented achievements in scientific publishing, and enhancing plans, programs, and curricula according to changes in academic knowledge and scientific and technological developments.
The graduation ceremony included a speech by the President of the University of Anbar, Dr. Mushtaq Talib Al-Nada, a parade of graduates, a parade of college councils and teaching staff members, a parade of the university council, the unified university oath, the medical oath for graduates of the medical group colleges, and the awarding of degrees.
The Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Naim Al-Aboudi, concluded the graduation ceremony by honoring the top graduates from the university’s colleges.
