A high-level ministerial committee at the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research convened to discuss and outline the implementation of the new project to establish a college specializing in cutting-edge sciences at the University of Baghdad, as directed by the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Naeem Al-Aboudi.
The attendees reviewed the project’s objectives, the specializations the new college will offer, the qualifications of the high-achieving students it will target, and a roadmap for administrative and academic staff, as well as timelines for student admissions and the privileges granted to them.
It is worth noting that the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Naeem Al-Aboudi, has directed the provision of the necessary requirements to establish a new college project at the University of Baghdad that specializes in cutting-edge sciences, building on a foundation of innovative ideas, entrepreneurial projects, and high-quality, dynamic academic programs with global reach. He emphasized that the project is based on the ministry’s strategic policy of prioritizing, developing university services, supporting professional leadership, enhancing outputs, and committing to qualifying students in accordance with the requirements of the labor market in an effective and impactful manner. The aim is to attract high-achieving students and qualify them through knowledge acquired from experts among Iraqi and foreign university professors, relying primarily on advanced and unconventional educational systems. This is aimed at establishing pioneering visions in scientific specializations and their fertile applications.
