A higher ministerial committee at the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research held a meeting to discuss and determine the contexts for starting the implementation of the project to establish a new college at the University of Baghdad specialized in scientific edges and their applications, which was directed by the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Naeem Al-Aboudi.
The attendees reviewed the objectives of the project and the specializations that will be taught by the new college and the type of students with high grades and drew an administrative and scientific roadmap for the teaching and administrative staff and the timing of starting to accept students and the privileges granted to them.
It is worth noting that the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Naeem Al-Aboudi, directed to provide the appropriate requirements for establishing a new college project at the University of Baghdad specialized in the fields of science and based on the identity and space of creative ideas and pioneering projects and adopting qualitative and diverse academic programs with global reach. He stressed that the project stems from the strategic policy adopted by the ministry to determine priorities, develop university services, support professional leadership, enhance outputs, and commit to qualifying students according to the requirements of the labor market in an effective and influential manner. It aims to attract students with high grades and qualify them through the knowledge they will receive from experts from Iraqi and foreign university professors, which will rely mainly on advanced and non-traditional educational systems with the aim of establishing pioneering concepts in scientific specializations and their applications.
