University of Karbala obtains institutional accreditation

According to the letter of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, the University of Karbala obtained institutional accreditation. The letter stated that “with reference to the approval of His Excellency the Honorable Minister of the minutes of meeting No. 38 of the Institutional Accreditation Council and the powers granted to the Council under Ministerial Order No. 299 dated 3/13/2023, it was decided to grant the University of Karbala institutional accreditation.”

The Ministry stressed “the necessity of the university’s commitment to implementing the relevant provisions stipulated within the policies and procedures of the Council.”

For his part, the President of the University, Professor Dr. Sabah Wajid Ali, praised the efforts of the Quality Assurance and University Performance Department, in addition to the contribution of university employees, professors and employees, in achieving excellence and their keenness to raise the name and status of the university at the local and international levels.

It is worth noting that institutional accreditation is granted by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research to the academic institution that has met the scientific standards specified by the Ministry, the most important of which is that the university has effective systems to ensure quality and continuous improvement of its academic activities according to announced controls.
