The study aimed to evaluate patients with chronic stable angina and acute coronary syndrome in terms of the prevalence of risk factors, symptoms, comorbidities, and other factors that may contribute to these differences between patients.
The study also found that acute coronary syndrome was twice as common as chronic stable angina syndrome (62.5% vs. 37.5%), and there was no significant difference in age between the two groups. The proportion of males was higher (67%) than females (23%) among patients with chronic stable angina. Patients with acute coronary syndrome also showed abnormalities in lipid levels, especially harmful lipids.
