Minister of Education meets international students and confirms the registration of more than 2000 foreign students from seventy countries in the Study in Iraq program for the year 2025/2024

Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research Dr. Naim Al-Abboudi met with a group of international students studying in Iraqi universities as part of the Study in Iraq program.

In his speech, the Minister of Education expressed his welcome to the Arab and foreign students coming from different countries of the world, stressing that university education represents an important cultural bridge between countries, pointing out that the first edition of the Study in Iraq program for the year 2024/2023 resulted in the admission of one thousand and fifteen students, while the second edition of the program for the year 2025/2024 registered more than two thousand students so far from seventy countries around the world.

The Minister of Education reviewed before the students aspects of the potential of Iraqi universities and their results achieved in international rankings and their long-standing academic reputation and the competent professors and researchers, pointing out the keenness of the ministry and its universities to provide a quality educational environment for all students in order to enable them to achieve what they aspire to.

For their part, the international students expressed their gratitude and thanks to the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research for providing various study opportunities to enroll in Iraqi universities, praising at the same time the scientific level on which these universities and their specialized faculties are based at the level of undergraduate and postgraduate studies.
