The Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Naim Al-Aboudi, held a meeting with the Baghdad University Council and urged to stimulate the scientific energies of the teaching staff and employ human potential in the path of teaching quality, developing scientific research and enhancing community service.
During the meeting, he called for the evaluation and review of the achieved goals, academic programs and study plans and updating them according to the strategic indicators related to the quality and improvement of the educational process and its specialized services.
He reiterated the need to take into account the requirements of global competition in the classification of universities and international publication in hospitals and measure the index of educational systems adopted in Iraqi universities based on the developmental requirements related to the labor market and facing challenges.
He stressed on strengthening cultural awareness and enabling universities and their staff to embody their responsibilities towards society, explaining at the same time that the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research is working to integrate with the competent sectoral institutions to provide support for teachers and employees regarding suitable residential lands.
The Minister of Education listened to the proposals and recommendations of the President of Baghdad University and the deans on developmental measures and initiatives aimed at caring for students and providing scientific, educational and consulting services to public and private sector institutions.
