The minister of higher education and scientific research, Dr. Naim al-Aboudi, honored the National Council for accreditation of medical colleges in Iraq on the occasion of Iraq receiving international recognition and accreditation from the World Federation for medical education (WFME).
In his speech during the official ceremony attended by a group of parliamentary, governmental and academic figures, he said that this historic achievement will remain personal for generations, namely, Iraq’s obtaining international recognition and accreditation from the World Federation for medical education, whose experts conducted a scientific assessment and programmatic disclosure of the climate of medical education and the mechanisms of the Iraqi Council for the accreditation of medical colleges in Iraq.
He stressed that the decision of the World Federation for medical education granted to Iraq summarizes the sobriety of the scientific level of our academic institutions, their certificates and study programs, the eligibility of their educational systems and their capabilities responsible for achieving their mission and goals according to approved international standards, pointing to securing the path of Iraqi certificates and providing the level hoped for.
The ceremony included speeches and in honor of the member of the Parliamentary Education Committee, Dr. Firas al-muslimawi, the head of the scientific supervision and Evaluation System, Dr. Salah al-Fatlawi, the chairman of the committee of deans of medical colleges, Dr. Anis Khalil, and a number of deans of medical colleges in Iraqi universities that received accreditation from the National Council for accreditation of medical colleges in Iraq.
