The Department of Gynecology and Obstetrics at the College of Medicine at Karbala University, in cooperation with the Karbala Health Department, held a training course entitled “Natural Childbirth and Its Complications” with the participation of lecturers from the College of Medicine and the Karbala Health Department.
The course aimed to introduce the participants to the nature of natural childbirth according to the latest scientific developments, and the most important stages, benefits, and main complications resulting from it.
The course covered several topics, such as the need for artificial childbirth and how to perform it according to the latest scientific findings, how to monitor the condition of the mother and fetus during natural childbirth and the complications accompanying childbirth and how to avoid them and treat them if they occur, as well as the use of a card to monitor the pregnant woman during childbirth and the importance of using this card to know the condition of the mother and fetus during childbirth and diagnose cases of delayed childbirth to take the necessary action to prevent possible complications.
