Dr. Fadel Jawad Kazem al – tohma, a lecturer at the chemistry branch of the Faculty of Medicine, Karbala University, chaired the committee to discuss the master’s thesis of the researcher (Safa Rabie Saadoun Mohammad) tagged with “the study of lipocalin-2 and its relationship to insulin resistance in arthritis”
The study dealt with estimating the level of lipocalin – 2 in healthy people and joint patients and determining the normal rate of it in the blood serum of healthy people and for both sexes and its relationship to insulin resistance.
The aim of the study was to determine the normal extent of lipocalin – 2 in humans and to assess the relationship between lipocalin – 2 and insulin resistance as well as to find the factors affecting it.
