More than a hundred Iraqi universities and colleges have achieved their competitive positions in the Webometrics ranking in its 2024 edition.
The results of the ranking showed that (32,000) university institutions around the world compete according to the indicators of virtual attendance of universities through their locations and measuring the percentage of clarity (50%), transparency (10%) and the strength and excellence of research (40%).
The current version has witnessed progress in the ranks of Iraqi universities, where the University of Baghdad came in sequence (1460), then the Universities of Diyala, al-Mustansiriya, Mosul, Kufa, Middle Euphrates and other Iraqi universities and colleges indicated by the official website of the classification (https://www.webometrics.info/en/aw/Iraq) affiliated with the higher Center for scientific research in Spain.
