The minister of higher education and scientific research, Dr. Naim al-Aboudi, received the ambassador of the Republic of Belarus accredited to Iraq, Mr. Viktor Rybak, and his accompanying delegation.
The two sides discussed the development of joint scientific and academic cooperation between the two countries and the development of contexts responsible for the exchange of experiences and scholarships in various disciplines in the interests of the two friendly peoples.
The minister of Education expressed the readiness of higher education and scientific research institutions to coordinate the necessary understandings that would strengthen scientific and cultural relations, pointing out that Iraqi universities attract international students through the study in Iraq initiative, which provided various scholarships in primary and higher studies.
For his part, the ambassador of the Republic of Belarus praised the interest of the minister of higher education and scientific research, Dr. Naim al-Aboudi, in developing bilateral relations and enhancing opportunities for joint cooperation in scientific and academic fields, especially with regard to the exchange of scholarships and fellowships.
