The pathology branch at the Faculty of Medicine, Karbala University, held a training course entitled “wheat allergy and associated immune disorder and histological diagnostic methods”
The course was attended by both A. M. Dr. Ali Fadel Hashim, a. M. Dr. Mohammed Fawzi Abdul Mahdi, a. M. Dr. Rasha Abdul Rauf introduced the participants to wheat allergy as an immune disease.
The course included a brief history of the disease in different peoples, a statement of the mechanics of the disease and methods of the effect of the substance gluten contained in wheat and barley grains, in addition to methods of diagnosing the disease, histological changes that occur in the intestine accompanying the disease, problems and difficulties in diagnosing the disease .
