The minister of higher education and scientific research, Dr. Naim al-Aboudi, directed the reopening of applications to the elite student channel at public universities for the academic year 2024/2023 to provide an opportunity for students wishing to apply within this channel.
In compliance with the approved regulations, the students included in the application are graduates of the preparatory study for the academic years 2022/2021 and 2023/2022 with rates (90%) and above graduates of the biological, applied and literary branches and that the application is to the faculties of management and economics within the departments (Business Administration, statistics, public administration, Industrial Management, Accounting, Economics, Finance and banking Sciences) and the faculties of law, education and basic education in universities located within the student’s province of residence.
All students of the provinces, graduates of the biological and applied branches, have the right to apply to the specialty of industrial management of oil and gas/ Basra University of oil and gas, provided that their rate is not less than (92%).
In this regard, the Department of studies, planning and follow-up clarifies that the application to this channel will continue until the end of the official working hours from Sunday, 2023/11/26, and that the application procedures begin by submitting the student’s options through the electronic form in the studies portal () and then the student reviews any public university located within the province of his residence for interview and testing.
