On Wednesday, the third of March, a course of cardiopulmonary resuscitation and life-saving skills was concluded, which lasted for four days, from 2/26 to 3/1, under the supervision of the trainer, the international consultant for emergency medicine in the US state of California, Dr. Imran Imam, in cooperation with the International Medical Front Organization, the Karbala Health Department, and participants. One of the college professors and a specialist in emergency medicine in the Karbala Health Department.
The number of participants in this session reached 150, including students of the sixth stage of the Faculty of Medicine, University of Karbala, its former graduates, and doctors from Karbala Governorate.
It is noteworthy that this course continues to be held annually in our college, but it was stopped due to the Corona pandemic, and its activity has resumed again since the end of the crisis.
The course devoted its curriculum to two sections, practical and theoretical, with regard to simulated medical procedures such as cardiopulmonary resuscitation, and theoretical ones that save the patient with a set of first aid such as electric shocks and others.
The course had the active participation of students and future doctors. Dr. and international consultant Imran Imam praised their scientific level.
Note that the participants are granted participation certificates from the American Cardiology Association.
