A scientific discussion was held at the Karbala College of Medicine, Family and Community Medicine Branch, under the title (Evaluation of Risk Factors for Autism Spectrum Disorders in Children in Babylon Governorate in the year 2022) for the student Abeer Yahya
The aim of the study:
Identification of risk factors for autism spectrum disorders in children with autism
And she concluded after the continuous effort by the researcher:
There are several factors that increase the risk of autism, including (the sex of the child), as the study found that it is more in males than in females, the higher educational level of doctors, working parents, and mental illnesses that the mother suffers from before pregnancy such as anxiety, depression, and neurological disorders such as epilepsy and mother’s diseases during pregnancy. Pregnancy such as anemia, gestational diabetes, infection, pre-eclampsia, gestational age that is premature and post-term, postpartum diseases such as prematurity, physiological and pathological jaundice, respiratory distress syndrome, congenital nervous system diseases, family history of autism and the use of smart devices by the child.
After the researcher’s efforts and her defense of her dissertation, the discussion committee decided to give her a very good, high score, which consisted of the subjects listed below:
