A discussion was held at the College of Medicine, University of Karbala, for the doctor’s student (Zainab Muhammad Ali Hassan), a high diploma, on the nature of food and its impact on type 2 diabetics, under the title (Nutritional evaluation of type 2 diabetics at the Diabetes and Endocrinology Center in Dhi Qar).
The aim of the study was to determine the nutritional status of patients and whether malnutrition and the economic and social status had an effect on the disease
The study concluded that the nature of food for patients with type 2 diabetes is related to obesity and an increase in the body mass index (BMI).
There are factors that play a preventive role against obesity, and they must be encouraged to do so, as well as risk factors that lead to many complications
After the student defended her research, the esteemed committee decided to accept the study, with a very good, high grade
