The thesis included the title (The immunohistochemical expression of ER-α and PR in papillary thyroid carcinoma in a group of Karbala patients) by the student (Ghufran Abdel-Adel Hadi), and she received an honors degree.
This study aims to evaluate the relationship between ER and PR in papillary thyroid carcinoma in a group of patients in Karbala and compare it with age, sex, and histological type of papillary thyroid carcinoma, and to evaluate the relationship between ER and PR in patients.
It was concluded from this study that the percentage of patients with primary disease is higher among females. It was found that metastatic disease is associated with the presence of ER positive. It was also found that the presence of a positive ER is associated with a younger age and the presence of a positive PR.
