The College of Medicine organizes a workshop on the use of the HPLC device

The Biochemistry Branch, in cooperation with Al-Gafaf Company (the exclusive agent of SHIMATZU in the Middle East and Iraq), organized a training workshop on HPLC technology and its medical applications in diagnosing and separating the proportions of components of chemical compounds.

The workshop, which was held in the Graduate Studies Laboratory – Biochemistry Branch, included theoretical and practical lessons on the basis of the work of the HPLC device, with a detailed explanation of its basic parts and components, how to use the device and the program for controlling the device via the computer.

The workshop, which was held under the auspices of the Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, Prof. Dr. Riyad Daihoud Al-Zubaidi, and under the supervision of Assistant Professor Dr. Rana Majid Hamid (head of the branch), was attended by a number of faculty and graduate students.

The branch rapporteur (Dr. Dr. Atheer Hamid Odeh Al-Ghanimi) stated that this workshop is part of the scientific plans developed by the branch for the purpose of training and developing the scientific and practical capabilities of the branch professors and graduate students, which aims to maintain and operate all laboratory equipment to be of service.
