I discussed my doctoral thesis at the Faculty of Medicine at the University of Karbala, entitled (Depression among sterile women in Karbala: Prevalence and associated factors) by the student (Sra Diaa Mahdi) and she received a very good grade. The thesis aims to know the extent of depression among infertile women in Karbala. The results of this thesis showed that the prevalence of depression among infertile women in Karbala was 66.15%. 43.69% mild, 7.08% moderate, 15.38% severe depression and it is in line with other studies in Iraq, but it is higher than studies in different countries as this high percentage increases the need for psychological support and medical treatment for depression
