The faculty, Dr. Bahaa El-Din Abdel-Rahman, the instructor at the College of Medicine, anatomy branch, obtained a certificate of participation from the World Health Organization for passing the training course within the post-work review (AAR) qualitative actions taken in response to an event related to public health. It is a way to identify and document best practices and challenges that the event response has demonstrated.
The aim of this course is to follow
Corrective actions to be taken immediately, to ensure better preparedness and response to the next event;
The medium and long-term measures necessary to strengthen and institutionalize the capabilities required for the public health system.
It mainly depends on the personal experiences and perceptions of any individuals or entities involved in the response. The process includes a structured, facilitated discussion or sharing of experience to review what existed before the response critically and systematically, what happened during the response, what worked well, what was less successful, why events occurred as they happened, and how to improve them.
