The Center for Strategic Studies at the University of Karbala organized a seminar on the political and legal dimensions of the Trump decision on the annexation of the Golan to Israel on Wednesday, 17/4/2019 and on the Dean’s Hall in the Faculty of Medicine.
Prof. Dr. Abdel-Sawadi taught at the Faculty of Law
Prof. Khalid Al-Abdawi, Professor of Political Sciences and Director of the Center for Strategic Studies at Karbala University.
Dr.. Haidar Fawzi Al-Ghazi, Professor of Political Science at Karbala University, Faculty of Medicine.
Dr.. Saadi Ibrahim from the Center for Strategic Studies / Head of Legal Studies
And d. Yasser Amer Omran / Department of Legal Studies at the Center for Strategic Studies.
The symposium focused on the issue of the Golan Heights occupied by Israel after the 1967 war, which lasted for six days. President Trump bypassed Twitter by annexing the Golan Heights to the Zionist entity without referring to the UN Security Council or even Syria itself despite strong opposition from the GCC Al-Khaliji, the Security Council, Britain, France and Russia, considering that the Golan Heights are an occupied land and its return to Syria. The Zionist entity claims to annex the Golan to it.
The purpose of this symposium is to raise awareness and enlightenment among our children from the Faculty of Medicine to find out the dimensions of this subject for future generations and to educate them. After this decision, it is an Arab right that must be liberated one day and return it to the Arab nation.
The seminar was attended by a number of professors and teachers, a group of the Popular Lobby, the Faculty of Medicine and Law, the House of Representatives and representatives of the Ministry of Interior and National Security, Safwa University and Ibn Hayyan University.
