On the National Day of the Holy Quran, the Minister of Education directs the establishment of a new channel for accepting Quran memorizers in postgraduate studies

The Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Naeem Al-Aboudi, directed the establishment of a new channel for accepting Quran memorizers in postgraduate studies.

This came in his speech at the National Day of the Holy Quran celebration organized by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, attended by university presidents, deans, representatives of teaching staff, and students accepted through the Quran memorizers channel in undergraduate studies.

He affirmed that the ministry is working to enable its universities to play effective roles in the field of the Holy Quran and Quranic studies, calling on the Research and Development Department to organize the mechanisms and regulations for testing and competition in the new channel, and urging the relevant colleges and departments to employ modern technologies and artificial intelligence in various Quranic studies.

The Minister of Education added that focusing on these contexts aligns with and stems from the vision and mission of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, noting that this field is one of the most important sources of knowledge that Muslims and non-Muslims have worked on throughout history, necessitating cooperation to spread and embody its goals and philosophy.

The National Day of the Holy Quran celebration included official speeches, supplications, an Arabic calligraphy exhibition, and honoring a group of Quran readers and students accepted through the Quran memorizers channel in Iraqi universities.
