“The College of Medicine organizes the annual cultural festival of the Birth of the Kaaba.”

“The College of Medicine at the University of Karbala, under the patronage of the Dean, Professor Dr. Khalid Khalil Al-Araji, and supervised by the Student Activities Unit headed by Assistant Lecturer Ahmed Maki Mahmoud, organized its annual cultural festival (Festival of the Birth of the Kaaba) on the occasion of the birth anniversary of the Commander of the Faithful, Ali ibn Abi Talib (peace be upon him). The festival was attended by several professors of the college and undergraduate and postgraduate students. The festival began with a recitation from the Holy Quran and an introduction to the life, history, and achievements of Imam Ali (peace be upon him), including the knowledge he left in global libraries and other studies. Dr. Khalid Al-Araji delivered a speech highlighting the humanity of the Commander of the Faithful (peace be upon him) and the importance of self-struggle and providing humanitarian and ethical service to patients for medical students. Assistant Lecturer Ahmed Maki added that the festival commemorates the significant Islamic history of the master of eloquence, the Commander of the Faithful, and the importance of introducing this great man (peace be upon him). Lecturer Nawal Musa Al-Miyali delivered a speech in remembrance of the Imam (peace be upon him), and a segment of questions and competitions about the life of Imam Ali (peace be upon him) was presented. Additionally, Mr. Abdul Wahab Al-Muhanna, an employee of the college, presented a chant and poetic verses highlighting the path and fragrant biography of the Imam (peace be upon him).”
